What is this build trying to do?

Favor reliable support, safe positioning and a manageable resonance sequence. Keep an independent contribution for rounds when allies cannot use your preferred buff. Select upgrades to strengthen the party’s actual attack patterns.

This is a role-based strategy framework. It does not claim to be a verified level-by-level digital card, equipment or perk list. Check the current digital card text before making an irreversible selection.

How do you set up a repeatable turn?

  1. Identify the ally whose next action gains the most from your support.
  2. Position within the actual effect range while staying outside unnecessary threats.
  3. Time resonance and buffs for that action, with an independent fallback if the ally is delayed.

Your party’s strongest upcoming action is often the best place to invest support. Discuss who will attack first, where the dangerous enemy will stand and whether the support survives a change of target. Late unlock does not remove the need to learn the engine.

Which cards should you prioritize?

Allocate the hand to resonance preparation, the party payoff and a fallback contribution when allies must move. The direct developer interview confirms a late-unlocked support role but does not publish a full digital card list. Until the digital Codex is checked, choose by printed function: affordable resonance generation, a support effect that benefits the party’s strongest repeatable action, safe movement and an independent attack. No exact level-up picks are claimed.

Compare a candidate card against the job your current hand cannot accomplish: reaching a useful hex, making the primary attack legal, surviving the next enemy action or recovering a disrupted turn. Avoid upgrading a number while losing the only action that keeps the sequence reliable. Exact level selections remain subject to digital Codex verification.

How should equipment and perks support the plan?

Choose equipment that keeps support within the required range or improves the reliability of the hero’s independent turn. Avoid committing scarce gear to an assumed tabletop card interaction before seeing the digital text. A movement tool can preserve a much larger allied payoff than a small personal damage item.

Evaluate each perk by whether it improves resonance availability, the normal support sequence or reliable damage on setup rounds. Do not select a tabletop-named perk purely because the campaign has reached a high level. A late unlock still needs a simple engine that works with the current party.

What should you change when the plan fails?

Supporting the biggest theoretical attack is wasted if that ally must open a door or spend the turn travelling. Keep the payoff flexible until the teammate confirms a productive action, and verify every digital resonance restriction before planning a chain.

Identify whether the failure was positioning, timing, a resource shortage or a party mismatch before replacing the entire hand. Record a change and test it over another expedition rather than changing several decisions at once.

Which references help with this build?

Start with the Shattersong class reference, use party composition to assign allies’ roles, and revisit card economy when the party exhausts before completing its objective.

Evidence boundary: Roster name corroborated against tabletop index and digital full-roster announcement; exact digital class text and unlock require Codex verification. Strategy is tabletop-informed editorial advice.
