Deepwraith: class guide and playstyle
Understand the Deepwraith's role, core mechanic, party priorities and build approach in Frosthaven digital.

What does Deepwraith bring to a party?
Role: Melee assassination. Core idea: Focuses on attack sequences, positioning and trophies.
Pick a priority enemy and count the movement needed to reach it and survive afterward. Coordinate concentrated attacks so you do not overkill a target a teammate would already remove. Use control and concealment as preparation for another productive turn.
How do you unlock this class?
Campaign unlock; exact digital requirements not yet independently checked.
How should you build around its strengths?
Build around reliable access to a vulnerable target and several compatible attacks. Value initiative flexibility and escape movement. Avoid filling the hand with conditional burst that works only when the enemy and allies stand in exact positions.
- Choose a target whose removal matters before other allied attacks resolve.
- Approach with a plan for the survivor and any enemies behind it.
- Use the attack sequence, then protect the next turn with positioning rather than remaining exposed.
Which cards are named in digital sources?
These names are corroborated by official digital announcements. Their current level, full wording and unlock requirements should be checked in the in-game Codex.
- Grim Trophies — official digital reference.
- Death Spiral — official digital reference.
- Staring into the Abyss — official digital reference.
- Mantle of the Dread — official digital reference.
What commonly goes wrong?
Do not treat every loot-like object as a loot bag that fuels Grim Trophies. Do not spend the last trophies on a minor target if the next turn depends on a stronger effect. Digital notes also correct interactions between invisibility-like effects, movement and trophy abilities.
Where should you go next?
Read the Deepwraith build framework, compare party composition, and review card economy before committing to a long scenario.
Evidence boundary: Digital alias, broad playstyle and campaign availability confirmed by official Into the Abyss announcement. Exact card text, numeric values and unlock prerequisites still require digital Codex verification.
